The timeless beauty of Turquoise

Among the many materials I love to work with, turquoise holds a very special place in my heart. Along with sea glass and pearls, it is one of those elements that immediately inspires me when I begin designing a new piece of jewelry.
Turquoise is a fascinating gemstone because no two stones are exactly the same. Its colors range from soft sky blue to deep ocean tones and beautiful shades of green. These variations depend on where the stone forms in the earth and the minerals surrounding it. Each region produces turquoise with its own character and personality.
One of the varieties I especially adore is the green turquoise often found around Santa Fe in the American Southwest. These stones carry rich green tones with touches of blue and delicate natural matrix patterns. To me, they feel deeply connected to the landscape where they come from: desert skies, sun-warmed earth, and the quiet beauty of the Southwest.
Turquoise has been treasured for thousands of years by many cultures, not only for its beauty but also for the sense of protection and harmony it was believed to bring. Even today, it continues to be one of the most recognizable and beloved gemstones in jewelry.
When I incorporate turquoise into my designs, I always feel that I’m adding a small piece of nature’s art. Whether paired with silver, pearls, or sea glass, turquoise brings color, history, and a timeless elegance that never goes out of style.
