Growing wise

What a couple of days. Working at a trade show is always demanding, hours of standing, walking, and constantly talking to people. I’ve attended many of these shows over the years, and although I remember being tired before, it has never felt quite like this. I suppose the years don’t pass in vain.

During the show, I had the opportunity to spend time with a group from the manufacturer who came from China; three women and one man, all of them truly lovely people. They made me feel like part of their group, and that sense of belonging made the long days much easier.

Somehow, probably because I can never stop talking about my pieces, the conversation turned to jewelry. I discovered that we shared the same feelings about handmade jewelry: the appreciation for detail, the emotion behind each piece, and the meaning it carries. It made me realize how strong the connection between women can be, regardless of the country we come from.

Every moment brings an opportunity to learn. And I love the fact that through this new hobby of mine, I have connected with more people than ever before in my life.
