Rarity of Sea Glass

I saw a post today with this sea glass guide, and it made me realize how fortunate I have been to find so many beautiful tones of sea glass during my last trip to the Caribbean. There were different variations of green, blue, and amber, each one unique and beautiful in its own way. I adore them all, even the most common pieces, because every little fragment carries its own story during their time at the sea.

But imagine the excitement when you discover one of the rare colors. I do have a small orange piece safely saved, and I’m planning to create something very special with it someday. I’m thinking of setting it in a sterling silver bezel to make it more durable and timeless. More than jewelry, it will become a memory of the beautiful trip my husband and I shared together by the ocean.
Sea glass is for certain a treasure that the ocean is bringing back to us, and I have learned to adore it.
