Enjoying what I like the most

We’ve spent one beautiful day in Puerto Rico, taking in so many of the wonderful things this island has to offer. Today was all about the beach, sunny skies, soft sand, and the simple joy of collecting sea glass. I’m not even sure how long we stayed, but by the evening, every muscle reminded us of all those bends and steps.

We also wandered through the charming streets of Old San Juan for hours, eventually stopping on a bench to enjoy some refreshing “parcha” ice cream. Lunch was a delightful surprise at a lovely restaurant we happened to come across. Richard had fish, and I enjoyed an “arroz asopado” with shrimp, both absolutely delicious. And the coconut flan? Easily one of the best we’ve ever had.
But the highlight of the day came at night. We went to a beautiful hotel to listen to a live Latin band. It wasn’t crowded, which made it even more enjoyable, and we stayed for a couple of hours, dancing several times. Dancing is something deeply special to me, being a Latina, especially from the Caribbean, these rhythms are part of who I am. It’s something I truly love and miss when I don’t do it.
So today felt special, time by the ocean, collecting sea glass, a wonderful meal, and an evening filled with music and Caribbean rhythms… all shared with splendid company.
What more could I wish for? ✨
